Happy almost Friday!  I woke up this morning with the realization that we've pretty much hit the end of August, which means the harvest season is upon us!  Fall is my favorite season for several reasons, and one of them being fall fashion of course.  Around this time of year, it's always fun to go through my closet and figure out different ways of wearing my favorite closet items throughout the fall season, because let's face it, who really likes to wear their favorite tank top only one season a year!?  One of my favorite closet items is this Cynthia Rowley sleeveless trench that I transitioned into a dress for the summer.  It's super comfortable, very lightweight material and has these SUPER cute pleats around the back of the trench that turn the coat into a flare dress.  To be honest, I'm not even sure if this was meant to be a sleeveless trench or a dress, but either way, it works for both seasons!  This fall, I plan to partner this closet staple up with skinny jeans, flats, striped shirts, and maybe even keep it as a dress with a long sleeve shirt under and switch out my heels for boots!  The possibilities are endless, I can't wait to show you all how I transitioned this coat later!

Wedding Wardrobe

21 August 2015

There's something I have to admit about myself as a guest of a wedding-I WORE WHITE!  Apparently there's an unwritten rule about never wearing white to a wedding out of respect to the bride, luckily though in my case, the bride was wearing black (not even joking, it was so cool lol).  Anyways, I'm heading out to a wedding this fall and I'm so clueless about my wardrobe.  I've gone through different color schemes, dress colors, fit types, weather considerations, jewelry type-you name it! I have some time to figure it out, but in the meantime, here are a few outfits I've put together for those in my same boat!

Outfit #1- I've been a huge fan of hunter green lately and love it even more when it's lightly paired with neutral accessories and bold dark eye make up! This simple dress doesn't need much, just the right accessories, basic nude sandals and you're good to go!

Outfit #2- You can never go wrong with a little black dress-it's my favorite closet staple and I probably have about five.  The beauty of a little black dress is you can pair it up with various types of jewelry!  For this dress, I went with gold accessories to match the orange trim and take away the 'Halloween' feel.  I'd do very minimal make up to avoid adding more darkness to this outfit by including an almost nude lip, subtle gold eye shadow tones and definite top eyeliner.

Little Black Dress

Outfit #3-Lavender is another color I've been swooning over and have yet to wear.  I'm really loving a royal combination of lavender with pure silver accessories. I went a little light on the necklace to bring in more attention to the earrings.  This outfit would definitely require an up-do (maybe simple sock bun) to show off the earrings or even mellow curls with one side tucked and pinned behind your ear.
